Rare Spirits of Puerto Vallarta at La Dulce Vista
Description
The agave plant is famous throughout the world as the ‘materia prima’ for tequila, but did you know there is another spirit made from agave that is unique to this region?
Mezcal is a smoky liquor popular throughout Mexico, made by a distillation process handed down from generation to generation. Before our mezcal tasting, our first stop will be at an artisanal candy shop for you to taste regional sweets and treats and explore a local market.
Then we tour the exclusive enclave of Marina Vallarta, the ‘little Monaco of the Mexican Riviera,’ to admire the yachts, take pictures, and learn the area’s history.
We now proceed to La Dulce Vista, a villa secreted in the Sierra Madre above Banderas Bay, to enjoy the exhilarating effects and culinary possibilities of mezcal. Here, a resident mixologist will craft cocktails with the villa’s own brand of mezcal, pairing each drink with its ideal gastronomic match. Cocktails made from local fruits will be served along with tapas such as guacamole prepared at your table.
During your visit, you will also have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the mountain views, laze on a hammock, take a cool dip in the (non-heated) swimming pool, bounce on a trampoline, take photos on the whimsical swing, and shop for souvenirs in the resort boutique.
