Enjoy a guided stroll through El Centro and a tour of a local tile factory to see how colorful Mexican tiles are created. Learn the craft of distilling tequila at Hacienda Doña Engracia and savor an authentic Mexican lunch with handmade tortillas.
Your journey begins as you board your air-conditioned transportation at the pier and head to downtown Puerto Vallarta for a walking tour that includes the popular Malecon, Mexico’s Boardwalk, as well as the central plaza, the Sea Horse statue, City Hall, and the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Afterwards, travel to a local tile factory where you’ll receive a fascinating introduction to the production of colorful Mexican tiles. See how they are formed and painted.
You’ll also find plenty of shopping opportunities, as the main floor of the factory has myriad displays of vibrant ceramics to choose from.
We’ll stop at a local plaza for some souvenir shopping before heading to the next venue on your journey: Hacienda Doña Engracia, one of the finest tequila factories in the area. At the Hacienda, learn the craft used to transform the blue agave cactus into Mexico’s powerful and legendary tequila.
Sample the tequila and take a tour of the tequila-making process at the ranch.
Afterward, enjoy an authentic Mexican lunch featuring beef or chicken fajitas/tacos or fish tacos with handmade corn tortillas and salsas before returning to the pier.
