Puerto Vallarta Highlights: Old Town & Cathedral

Description

Experience the ride along the main highway to the beautiful Old Town of Puerto Vallarta. You’ll pass along the Malecon—a mile-long walkway along the expansive coastline of beautiful Banderas Bay. Look for the famous Sea Horse statue by artist Rafael Zamarripa. Continue past El Palacio Municipal (City Hall). The central plaza in the historical area features cobblestone streets and red-tile roofs Follow your guide on a walk to the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which dominates the downtown skyline with its eclectic mix of architectural styles.

You’ll stop by the lively and colorful marketplace, selling food, artisanal candies, snacks, and cold beverages. There’s time to shop here and enjoy a margarita (included). Guests wishing to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so but must make their way back to the ship on their own.
